What is a water blower?

A water blower goes by various names, such as Doodle booster, dog blower, or dog hair dryer. A water blower is a device (often the size of a mini trash can) that allows owners to easily blow dry their dog. It's much more powerful than a regular hand dryer, allowing you to easily blow directly onto the skin of (thick) Doodle coats. Because you can blow directly onto the skin, you also blow away dirt that accumulates in the coat, helping prevent matting. This also allows you to identify any spots or bumps that may need attention.

A water blower can blow both hot and cold air at varying speeds. We also often hear people say that a water blower can serve as a versatile household appliance. You can use it to defrost your freezer, blow away dust from between radiators, or even air out a deep-pile rug! It's an ideal tool!

How do you use a water blower?

Using a water blower is actually very simple and doesn't take much time. It's important to make sure you use the water blower in a place that can get dirty and wet, as the water and dirt will be blown out of your Doodle's coat. Start at the paws and work your way up. It's important to blow against the hair roots and not use the water blower in the same spot for too long, as this can be very painful for your Doodle. When blowing near the eyes and ears, be extra careful. Never blow into the eyes, and keep your hand over your Doodle's ear canal while blowing. You can optionally protect your Doodle's hearing with ear defenders; this will also make your Doodle react more calmly to the sound of the water blower.
